Bret Swigard

Clinical Instructor & Faculty in Training

Bret Swigard MPT, OCS, LJLCP, FAAOMPT, COMT, c.MDT, has over 23 years of clinical orthopedic experience. He received his Bachelors in Science in Human Biology with a Minor in Chemistry in 1997 and his Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) in 1999 from Eastern Washington University, USA. He became a Certified Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in 2001 and a Certified Advanced Clinical Instructor in 2010. He received his Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine, (c. MDT) in 2002 by The International McKenzie Institute. In 2004 he received his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification (OCS) by the American Board of PT Specialists and renewed his OCS certification in 2014. Bret earned his Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) in 2006 with "Distinction" and his Certified Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapist (COMT) in 2010 by the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). Bret then became a Faculty Member, Examiner and Fellowship Instructor for NAIOMT from 2015 to 2020 and then joined Aspire OMT in 2020 as a Faculty Member, Examiner, Specialty Course Instructor and Core Curriculum Instructor in-training. Bret became a Dr. Linda-Joy Lee ConnectTherapy™ Series Graduate in 2013 was honored to become a Dr. Linda-Joy Lee ConnectTherapy™ Certified Practitioner (LJLCP) in 2015. Bret has been the consulting physical therapist for the International Ballet Academy in Bellevue Washington for the last 15 years. In 2014 Bret launched a specialty outpatient orthopedic PT clinic, Innova Physical Therapy, in Redmond Washington USA.
